Winter Fun in Lake Geneva

Santa Cruise

November 29, 2019 - January 4, 2020

Just two miles from Geneva National, you can embark on the Santa Cruise, a magical Christmas boat cruise to Santa’s North Pole hideaway and marvel at several shoreline holiday light displays on the way. While waiting to board, check out the Festival of Trees display --- and should you wish for a chance to win the gifts under the trees, make a donation to local charities.

Christmas in Lake Geneva

December 6-7 & 14, 2019

Our charming Hallmark town transforms into a holiday haven aglow in twinkle lights, decorated store windows, and sometimes, a Santa sighting! Enjoy the annual Holiday Open House November 9-10, when stores lay out the red and green carpets to showcase their best gift ideas as well as a live visit from Santa and his reindeer, December 7 and 14.

Mark your calendars for the Festival of Lights, Friday, December 6, the annual Electric Christmas Parade, Saturday, December 7, and Santa and his reindeer on December 7 & 14.

Ice Castles

Late December 2019 - early March 2020

Built with thousands of lit-up icicles, the interactive Ice Castles display on Geneva National's driving range features tricked-out tunnels, thrones, slides, and fountains, this Instagrammable ice kingdom will be yours to discover through early March, if Mother Nature allows. Now in its second year, the Ice Castles are planned to be taller and more expansive -- with more icy artistry to explore. Winter never felt so royal! Stay at The Inns at Geneva National -- and walk to Ice Castles!

Ziplining & High Ropes

Throughout the Winter

Just 5.5 miles from Geneva National, Lake Geneva Canopy Tours (LGCT) provides year-round, sky-high adventure some 32 feet above ground in 100 acres of forest canopy. Experience the wonder of a beautiful Wisconsin winter racing through the trees, climbing sky bridges, and conquering the 16-obstacle high ropes course. Warm up around the campfire afterward.

Winterfest 2020

Jan 26, 2020 - Feb 2, 2020

Celebrated for the U.S. National Snow Sculpting Championship, Lake Geneva's annual Winterfest draws visitors for a multitude of frosty festivities -- from Hovercraft races and rides and the majestic Ice Castles display to a downtown Cocoa Crawl and The Ridge Hotel's own Igloo Experience.

Snow Skiing & Tubing

Just minutes away, Vail Resorts' Wilmot Mountain and Alpine Valley together boast nearly 50 runs, multiple terrain parks, professional instruction and equipment rentals – fun for everyone from beginners to shredders! Looking for something more laid back? Wilmot also offers 22 lanes for tubing and a magic carpet to pull you and your tube back uphill!

The Igloo Experience

Frost yourself in an illuminated igloo out back at our neighboring venue, The Ridge Hotel. Enjoy wintry libations and apps while cuddled up amidst the glow and snow during your Igloo Experience. Reserve up to four private igloos on the veranda, which overlooks Lake Como and Geneva National's Clubhouse.

Cross-Country Skiing

Rent your cross-country ski equipment or snowshoes from ClearWater Outdoor in downtown Lake Geneva, then hit the powder on one of the area's many trails, including Big Foot Beach State Park, Duck Pond in Fontana, and Kettle Morraine's Nordic, McMiller, and Scuppernong trails.

Magic Shows & Theaters

Warm up during an hour of live magic, comedy, and illusion at the family-friendly Tristan Crist Magic Theatre just outside downtown Lake Geneva. See Tristan walk through a mirror … and make a motorcycle appear. Cuddle up in the newly renovated yet vintage downtown movie theater, Geneva 4, or enjoy Fireside Dinner Theatre's holiday performance of Christmas Story: the Musical.
