Golf Safety Precautions & Policies

For your safety, Geneva National will make some temporary modifications to golf service, as follows:

  • Golf carts will be available for use on all three of our golf courses.

  • To avoid on-course touch points, there will be no water coolers, ball washers, or rakes.  (Please gently smooth sand with your feet as you exit the bunker.)

  • Scorecards and pencils are available upon request.

  • Flagsticks will remain in the hole at all times and the pins and cups will be modified with a touchless ball release.

  • On-course portable toilets will be equipped with hand sanitizer.

  • Please be respectful of our golf staff and fellow golfers by maintaining social distancing on and off course.

  • Please avoid traditional end-of-round high-fives and handshakes.

  • The driving range currently allows for extra space between bays for social distancing. No tees or alignment sticks will be set out.

  • Naturally, if you are feeling at all under the weather or have traveled recently, please wait the requested 14 days before hitting the course. Also, if you are in a high-risk category, we ask that you please take extra precautions.

Guest Room Cleaning Procedures

  • Our Housekeeping team has been trained on proper cleaning procedures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

  • Windows are opened to increase air circulation during the cleaning process.

  • All hard surfaces are first cleaned then disinfected. Touch points — including remotes, clocks, thermostats, coffeemakers and ice buckets — are cleaned and sanitized.

  • Soft surfaces, such as furniture and carpeting, are cleaned with soap and water, if needed, then disinfected with an EPA-registered disinfectant.

  • Towels, linens and bedding are cleaned and bleached at our in-house commercial laundry facility at water temperatures of 140 F and drying temperatures of 160-180 F.

  • Glassware in rooms has been substituted with disposable cups.

  • Our Housekeeping managers oversee each room cleaning to ensure that hygiene standards are maintained.

  • Housekeeping services are not performed when rooms are occupied. Please call the Front Desk for extra towels or other supplies.

  • In public areas, we frequently disinfect lobbies, elevators, door handles and bathrooms with a hospital-grade disinfectant and anti-viral sanitizing carpet cleaner.

  • Our Maintenance team regularly disinfects all PTAC units both in guest rooms and atop buildings.

  • Hand-sanitizer stations have been installed throughout the resort.
