Resort Updates

Keep Calm & Golf On

In response to the COVID-19, Geneva National is taking necessary precautions to protect our guests and associates while also offering opportunities to break out on-course with a few game modifications.

Unfortunately, due to the Wisconsin Governor's executive order, golf course operations have been temporarily suspended as of March 25. Please stay tuned for updates, as we hope to be allowed to re-open soon as permissible outdoor recreation.

Break out, breathe, and take on Trevino's tree-lined, Parkland-style design, Palmer's championship layout with GN's most challenging greens, or Player's high risk-high reward strategies -- all while keeping your social distancing intact.

PLAY IT SAFE

For your safety, Geneva National will make some temporary modifications to service, as follows:

  • We ask golfers to arrive and check-in no earlier than 5-10 minutes prior to their tee times to promote social distancing.

  • Player Services will not be providing bag service.  Golfers are asked to carry their bags and load them on their carts. Carts will be allowed in parking lot to retrieve and return clubs to vehicles.

  • Golfers will be issued single carts (with the exception of family members).

  • The Golf Shop will be restricted to two guests at a time with social distancing protocols in place.

  • To avoid on-course touch points, there will be no water coolers, ball washers, or rakes.  (Please gently smooth sand with your feet as you exit the bunker.)

  • Scorecard and pencil available upon request.

  • Flagsticks will be guarded by a scoring ring. Golfers are asked to putt until you hit the ring, which signals that you have holed out.  Please pick up your ball and move on without touching the flagstick.

  • On-course portable toilets will be equipped with hand sanitizer.

  • Please be respectful of our golf staff and fellow golfers, maintaining social distancing on and off course.

  • Please avoid traditional end-of-round high-fives and handshakes.

  • Practice facilities will be closed tentatively until May 1.

  • Naturally, if you are feeling at all under the weather or have traveled recently, please wait the requested 14 days before hitting the course. Also, if you are in a high-risk category, we ask that you please take extra precautions or reconsider waiting until further notice from the CDC.
